About Finding Voice

Finding Voice is an organization of University of Michigan students who have been and are impacted by psychological disorders, either personally or through friends or family. We are dedicated to providing support for students with psychological disorders, advocacy regarding mental health issues within the University community, education for the general public, and a forum for the creative expression of individuals whose lives have been impacted by psychological disorders.

Through support, advocacy, education, and creative expression, we believe we can break the silence and stigma surrounding mental health issues and give voice to those who live with mental illness. Psychological disorders touched us with muteness, and we know that, in isolation, mental illness is strong. In a community founded on compassion and respect, we hope to find healing.
