Dear Friends:
The election is now over, and what an election it was!
I would like to thank the voters for the trust they have placed
in me. I am honored and humbled by your support.
I would also like to thank my campaign staff and volunteers.
A tremendous amount of time and effort is required for a county-wide
campaign in a county of over 800,000 residents. My dedicated
campaign staff and volunteers worked countless hours organizing
precincts, attending parades, putting up (and taking down)
campaign signs, knocking on doors, and working at the polls
on election day, among other things. There is no sufficient
way for me to thank everyone who participated in this massive
effort. I am truly blessed and grateful that so many were
willing to do so much to help me.
Next, I would like to compliment my opponent for a race
well run. Carrie Lynn Fuca worked extremely hard, ran a positive
campaign, and was always upbeat. I wish her well in the future.
Finally, I look forward to starting my term in January.
I remain committed to be tough but fair, and to work hard
– every day – to make just decisions. I will always
be mindful that our courts exist to serve the public. In the
meantime, thanks again for your support!
